E-Power Kite in operation
It utilizes high altitude air currents. Then it transforms the nascent mechanical energy into electrical energy, relaying it to the fixed ground unit through a special cable. This unit then stores the energy or returns it to the electric grid.
Our device is able to reach the proper altitude by itself, where the wind is strong and stable enough. To reach the necessary heights for generating electricity, it exploits wind currents, but as additional help, it possesses electric powered rotating wings and rotors. Until the kite reaches proper heights, the in-built rotors generate mechanical energy from electricity. Air currents generated by the „body” lift the device up, the rotors expand in the right altitude, and transform the rotating wing’s torque into electricity. So, it generates electricity from mechanical energy.
